Tuchel says Chelsea have found new 'permanent goal threats' in two players
Following their goalscoring performance in Saturday's 7-0 win over Norwich City, Tuchel believes wing-back combination Ben Chilwell and Reece James have now become "constant goal threats" for Chelsea.
Chilwell maintained his excellent goal-scoring streak, scoring in three Premier League games in a row this season – four in all, including his strike against Aston Villa on the final day of last season.
James, on the other side, may have scored the game's finest goal. From a challenging angle, he brilliantly dinked the ball over Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul.
Tuchel was pleased with the pair's overall efforts, but he stressed the importance of their runs into the box to the team's strategy.
“Now he [Chilwell] is back. He’s pushed luck to his side, he took his chance, and he’s very, very strong, so I’m happy,” the German told Chelsea TV after the game.
“We need the wing-backs to score in our structure, to arrive in the box and be decisive, and both [Chilwell and James] are doing well.”
